Porridge

Not the biggest fan of it but if you cover it in lots of other stuff (berries etc), not so bad. Then again when it is free, how can you resist? This is a first for me, a restaurant serving free stuff. More about that place another time but here is the proof below. Such a fantastic idea. Really put a smile on my face.

A friend set up the Cookbook Club, she had a super year and is now going global. Well at least to London next. Check out her site in the new year and maybe get a chance to dine avec your favourite chef if you happen to be in London town.

At Mishkins, London. Tasty, with some great named dishes such as the cod cheek popcorn. A good bloody mary, a bit heavy on the hipsters and some very understanding staff.

Photography and design, in Saba. Food here is great, their cookbook was released last night. The Design by Alvin Perry, the photography by Matthew Thompson. Well done guys, looks fantastic. Great Xmas idea as all the proceeds go to charities.

 

Pasta at Fifteen

The concept behind Fifteen by Jamie Oliver is a very sound one and even though it has been around for a few years, I only got to try the results over the weekend. The proof below. Another great meal although I’m not usually a big pasta fan, this was really great.
